Good News first: I GOT A DATE!  Crystal called me yesterday afternoon and I am scheduled for June 3rd. YEAH!

Bad News: Dr. Loggins called me yesterday and said that I need my gallbladder out. I had been having some pains but my ultrasound showed no stones so I did a HIDA scan ( i think that is what it is called) and my gallbladder isn't working right (didn't show up at all in the scan). Soooo...I am scheduled on April 29th to have that taken out. At least that will make the time go by for my lap band. I will be busy recoverying from the first surgery so I won't be focusing on the date as much :)

Thanks so much for the support!

wow, they will know you by your first name at CMMC.  I know it sounds like a pain, (haha) but in the long run you will feel so much better.  You will love your band,  just be patient. (that is the worst part) It is amazing how I can cook something for supper and say "Yummy", and make myself a full plate, sit down and take 2 bites, and my band says "WO, WOman" slow the hell down, and chew, chew, chew"  remember if you eat mashed potatoes or a sandwich, you will be able to eat as much as you do now.  so it is very important to eat your protein first, it really works.  Just follow the rules.  I've seen it work,  if you feel your eating too much and not loosing, go over those rules, print them out, read them weekly.  its amaizing how you will forget them.  My body just isn't agreeable and don't loose fast, but its loosing. you are young and will see much success and for a long time.  If it takes me 3 years to get to goal, so be it.  best of luck to you.

It looks like you have been doing great with your preband diet, I bet you will feel better with your gall bladder gone, I was amazed how much better I felt after I got rid of that horrible thing.  Like MAMAG said you must learn to be patient and chew, chew, chew.  Practice eating slowly now and it will help after banding.   Good Luck

Dang to bad they can't do them at the same time. That stinks. Speedy recovery from your gall bladder surgery. Mine was a piece of cake. Best wishes

Good luck with both of your surgeries!  I'm sure you'll feel better once that gallbladder is out!  I know I did!

I think it will just make the time go by so I don't mind too much. Dr. Loggins told me that  he didn't want to take out the gallbladder at the same time as putting in the band because if the bile leaks there is a risk of infection. I'm cool with that. I want the least amount of issues as possible so hopefully by doing the gallbladder surgery first I can cross off one issue.  :)
