Has anyone here had rapid heart rate? This isn't the first time its happened. When i was in the hospital it happened and they blamed it on stress, but it seems to be happeneing more and more. I was trying to cook this am and do dishes before work and while i was chopping veggies all of sudden i got dizzy feeling and my heart was racing. i had to sit down and put my head down. on top of it I have had a headache, not a migraine because i can stand sun and light, since saturday. Even sitting my heart feels like its racings. I feel tired, but i can't sleep.

Anyone ever go through this??? One its scary and two its very annoying

When I have had a bad experience with Dumping, I get feeling sick to my stomach, I want to lay down and have rapid heart rate.  I would def email your nutritionist and ask her.

Hi Sarah,
I have SVT which is episodes of Rapid Heart rate.  You should definately let your PCP know.  One thing that helps stop it is holding your breath and bear down (like your taking a poop)  LOL  It stimulates your Vagal nearve and will slow down your heart.  Better call your doctor, it is probable related to stress and your rapid weight loss.  Keep us updated.  Tracy

I had that happen to me when I was about 4 months out of surgery I had just two carrot sticks at church and by the time I got home I felt like I had had 10 pots of coffee. It was horrid felt like I was going to jump out of my own skin. Are you eating anything with hidden sugars or lots of natural sugars. Sounds like dumping to me? Some people react to sugar  alcohols just the same as sugar. Really read your labels carefully. Hope you are feeling better soon.

you know this is really weird, my DS's GF's mom just had the same problem and is in the hospital as we speak.  she ended up having bursts of adrendlin causeing the headache, heard racing and not sleeping.  now they are trying to find out why the adrendlin rush.  they found one kidney bigger then the other and her artery in her neck blocked, she is only 49.  she is still being tested

I had this a few years ago, prior to surgery.  I had a cardiac work up and they discovered that I had episodes of SVT.  My PCP put me on meds for a while, but they made me kinda lethargic, so I stopped them over time.  I now have occasional episodes, but, because I know what they are, I don't worry about them too much.
Since this is new for you though, I'd call your PCP.  They may want to do a work up!   Are you getting all your fluids in?   Dehydration can cause some of those symptoms too.
Please call your PCP and let us know how you are doing!
