Easter goodies? What are you doing?
DH and I are lucky that our children are grown so we have no need for the Easter baskets and candy. We did buy Easter canvas bags for DGS and DS's GF's daughter and individual toys and a few individual wrapped candies. No bulk bags of candies.
I have spent the week decorating and dying Pysansky eggs. We will also hard boil some eggs which I can eat. DH still has issues with eating eggs- they feel like they get stuck. I will go out today and get a lean ham, sweet potatos and salad makings for dinner.
This got me wondering what every one else is doing? Is there candy in your house? Will this get you off track? Do you get together with family? Do you have a special holiday dinner? What is your program friendly plan?

Hello!
My name is Lynda and I live in Newburgh, Me. My husband & I are getting together and having grilled Lamb for Easter dinner with some friends in Bangor , with green beans, and mashed potatoes. Yummy:-)
I had my Laproscopic Bypass June 12, 2008 with Dr. Toder.
i am having a problem writing down my foodplan, I know that everything that goes in my mouth, I just need to write it down.
i am a compulsive overeater/ food addict, too.
Our grandchildren are in NC, and Florida. Our son is in the Marine Reserves in NC, and our daughter is in Indiana at Bible college (2nd year).
i went for a walk yesterday, went 11,638 steps, and 4.74 in distance , it took me 1 hour & 45 minutes, and I had 3 good size hills to climb & go down on. i have been walking or exercising 4-5 X a week through Move & Improve.
SWL friend,
Lynda

Well...........I DID buy the kids and DH some candy and will be making them baskets tonight after they go to bed (they're a little old for the Easter Bunny, but this is a big year for them with them doing their First Communion and Confirmation tonight at Easter Vigil.......so I wanted to celebrate it for them SOMEHOW! So......I went back to the old stand by.......FOOD! haha! Not good, but they really only get candy a couple times a year and I didn't buy that much anyways!)
I did buy myself some sugar free peeps and a small bag of sugar free chocolate (it'll take me a "month of Sundays" to eat it all as I'll "pace" myself, but it IS nice to indulge every once in a while!)
Sunday, we are going to my mom and dad's for Easter lunch with the whole family. Mom will have ham, potatoes, peas, carrots, yams, THE WORKS! So, I'll pick here and there and eat a few bites of what I like. Ham hasn't gone down too well for me in the past, so I'm bringing a protein bar, just in case. I'm providing desert tomorrow and since my DD's birthday is in just over a week, she asked for a "bunny cake" and we figured we'd celebrate her birthday while the whole family is around!! It is NOT WLS friendly, but I'll have a bite or two just because I'm trying to learn to eat "normally" and I still find that if I deprive myself of something then I crave it even more. SO, a few bites and I'll be all set! I'm also bringing some Only 8 frozen yogurt for everyone to try too. Now, that IS WLS friendly and it's my BESTEST addiction thus far! haha YUMMY!!!!!
Sorry to be rambling!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend.........no matter how you spend it!
Hugs
Ruth

I'm with you, I'd rather have Ham and Potatoes than sugar. Going to my aunt's house for dinner, ham, potatoes, peas, onions. I am bringing desert. Making chocolate dipped strawberries. I chose some dark chocolate with less sugar and more healthy chocolate. Besides, it's not like you eat a ton of them. A few will do ya!
