First of all congratulations on a phenonemal weight loss!!!  Now, chips, ah chips, those salty, crunchy wonders of nature...oh sorry where was I, oh, it is a slippery slope, you can have a couple of chips, but not alot cause you WILL get sick, substituting WW tortilla chips with salsa seems to do the trick for me...but honestly if I have to have a salty , fatty, greasy chip, I will have one or two.  Knowing that if I keep going sick is sure to follow, truly helps me decide to stop.  Think about it, you are eating a food deliberately , that will make you sick...you are healthy now, why7 would you go for the sick?  Life is going to be full of just these moments.  The other thing I say all the time...I ate all that stuff for 56 years...now for the next 56 years I am not going to...CHOICE...
Good luck!!!

Pat,  first of all "DON"T buy them" ... my family even knows I don't buy them, I might for company or Holiday's and yes, I pick.  but I actually havn't bought them for years.  I get the fat free Pringles for my little man, (I'm not a fan) I might have one or two, and get turned off.  If my son or Dh get a bag, they get a small bag and fini**** up or hide it.  OR, get vinagar ones, that I hate.  Pat there is no way around them, they will be there forever, so like kate said, get an alternative or just dont' get them.  I suggest talking to your family about them being an issue for you and to please help.  Life goes on around us, too bad we just couldn't stop some stuff from going on, but, that wont' happen, so just find a way out.  Good luck, and great job on the loss.

I have not had surgery yet, so that is why I have been known to open a bag of chips in the store at the restaurant (sandwich shop) and dump most of them in the trash. That way I never have the chance to eat them all.  People who don't have a problem think I am crazy, but oh well...  Good luck!

I have not had my surgery yet, but I have been purchasing 100 calorie packs to try to limit how much I eat at one time.  I have also used small snack size zip bags to make my own 100 calorie packs of items that don't already come that way, such as grapes or a couple cheese cubes with a couple small crackers.

I hope you continue with the fabulous weight loss that you have already achieved.  Have faith in yourself!

I havent had sweets or junk food...I feel like its a slope I cant afford to go down....Candy, Chocolate and sweets were my down fall..so I lok for healthy alternatives..pita chips are good..try to find things that have a good amount of protein and low fat..

Hi Pat!
You're doing an AWESOME job with your weight loss!  I totally understand about that chip craving!  I've been snacking on the light Pringles in the evening as I can't, or should I say, I don't WANT to stop myself!  BUT.....I count out my 17 chips and stop there!  (That is one serving and it satisfies my craving!  AND, I am doing my best to make sure I burn plenty of calories to make up for my "indiscretions"!  haha!!)   I also make sure that I've had all my protein for the day BEFORE I start snacking.  I figure that if I deny myself, then I'll crave it even more and then I'll eat more than I should (Just my warped way of justifying the snack to myself!   NOT GOOD!)

Maybe you could try some of the Kay's Natural snacks with higher protein?  Some of them are quite tasty.

Keep your chin up!  You are doing awesome!!
Maybe see  you tomorrow evening?

I wish you luck with your cravings, I do not look forward to that at all.. I do agree with Ruth, that you should not totaly deny your cravinings you should find some kind of compromise maybe count out a serving and try to  stick to it, I know easier said than done. You have done so well 85 lbs is huge and you should be so proud of yourself.....Be strong and good luck ...

You've done terrific.
Chips, cheese and crackers are my thing so I don't have them in house.
My surgeon always told me that they do surgery on my stomach, but not on my head, so these cravings come back, but we can do it.  I've gained weight back but working on getting it back off.
Hang there.....Sharon
