Gallbladder gone!

So I had my gallbladder out on Friday and I unexpectedly sore!  I think I had less pain with my RNY.  So I took today off from work and considerinf taking tomorrow too.  My tummy is so swollen!  It sticks out around the center incision, which is kinda weird, but I'm sure it's normal.  Anyway, I hope this does the trick along with the six weeks on the carafate.  I haven't had any of the abdominal pain I was having before so I guess that's a good sign.  I just want to be back to normal and  go on with life.  Thanks for the well wishes from those of you on facebook !  Have a great day

Hopefully this will make you feel much better.  Gallbladder attacks are the worst!  Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Glad  you are on the mend.   I had my gall bladder out   almost  8  years ago and only had   5 attacks but  thought i was having  a heart attack.  I was some glad  when  it was gone.  Only downside  was I was in California on vacation when i had an attack  and decided i better go to the hospital and find out what was wrong.  But  I was on vacation so didnt have to cook or clean  or  make beds for  10  days     have a great day~~~

I've heard people say that the gallbladder surgery is more painful than the rny - hope you have a speedy recovery.

I'd have to agree.  This is more painful.  I have a hematoma around the center incision and that's what's really sore.

You had your gallblader out?  Wow Keela.  You're family just got over scarlet fever and now this.  Between work and personal you must spend most of your time at TAMC.  Keela please take it easy and I'm praying for you.
