Weel since I am soooo sick of protein drinks and still need to make sure I get all my protein in I decided to make Egg Faces protein ice cream.  I made the chocolate with peanut butter.  It was delish.  I made it this morning and put it in a one cup container and left in the freezer.  I took it out of the freezer when I got home from walmart to find a solid frozen brick.  I though great, this is not going to work.  Just by chance I put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds and VOLIA  a nice creamy treat.  I was actually surprised at how creamy it was.  What a nice change.  Now I feel like I can survive.  LOL

It will be a wonderful cool treat this summer and 1 cup has 57 grams of protein.  I onle ate half and saving the other half for later.  Yum yum.

I had almost forgotten about protein ice cream - got me through last summer! I use to pack mine in the little 1/2 cup containers....and yes, definately microwave before serving!

How did you get so much protein in a serving?

I added 2 scoops of protein powder to one cup of milk plus peanut butter.  It is 57 grams for the whole cup.  It is actually what I had for breakfast and lunch then had chobani yogurt for dinner.

Kewl, guess the protein count adds up quickly - I had forgotten that it was 2 scoops of powder. Glad you found something that works to get you through!

Ice cream sounds good to me.  I was going to look on her profile to see what other ice cream recipes there are but I did a profile search for egg face and came up with nothing.  Please can you post the link for me?
