My son had his  consult with  Dr.  Toder today and she recommended the lap band surger for him.  He has problems with clotting  and  that is the safest procedure.  she is sending him  to onocology for   work up on his blood to find out why he clots.

He is a little dissappointed   as he thouight he wanted the  rny but  he  is looking forward  to moving on.   He has more   learning to do now.   He should here within two weeks if he is  okayed or not.

have a great day

Dr. T is the best.... she wants what is the safest for him.  Thats great she is getting to the reason for his clotting issue.  Maybe the results of that will change her mind.  Good luck

Oh, that is dissappointing.   Tell him not to give up.  Can he see another doc, just to see what they say?

I know he's disappointed, but it sounds like Dr Toder is doing what is best for him.

I hope the oncology visit gives a reason and solution to his blood clotting issue. That could change his surgical procedure.

I'm sure that it's disappointing for him, but he WILL have a tool and he'll just have to figure it all out!  I'm sure Mamag can offer him some support and guidance.  He can do this!
Wish him my best!

I'm sure that Dr. T. knows best, as everyone has said, but disappointment is jus that.  Hope he gets what he needs to get healthy.
