I'm back!
I did have some worries about how it all was going to work on an island with sketchy protein sources. We decided to pack some steaks and chicken, protein powder and bars and flew that all down in a rolling soft sided cooler. It worked perfectly, no trouble with that getting into the Bahamas, although I couldn't bring meat into the US...hmmm So had no issues with getting in enough protein. Ran /walked 2.5 miles every day but 2, biked 10 miles one day, kayaked, snorkled and just literally was more active than I have ever been-in YEARS! It was great!
Getting home, feeling fantastic and then I stepped on the scale...and had stayed the same...HOw in the world is that possible. I really am trying not to let that bug me, I feel great-that should be enough!!!But the darn number still took my breath away for a second. I have my one year coming up and really wanted to be at 100 # doesn't look like I am going to make that goal, and I thought for sure with all that activity, i would have lost. Oh well. I didn't gain!!! Last year I was on my pre surg losing 10% and lost 8 pounds on vacation there. Lots of veggie meals though, so that could be it, too, didn't dare to do that this year..focused on protein.
So, what did I miss? besides all of you??
Love,
Kate

Finally it moved!
Welcome Home, Kate!! Personally, I think that staying the same is awesome! Better than gaining! But I understand your wanting to get to 100 # (you lightweight!)
PS: we are all going bowling on Sunday, April 19th at Spare Time Bowling in Augusta, I hope that you can make it! It should be a blast!! We also had fun rollerskating last month and I have some pics on my profile for you to see.
Sorry about the # on the scale. Staying the same of vacation is awesome!
