couple questions

I know this my TMI but I have to ask.  I have had a ton of gas lately and my belly gets bloated.  It hurts sometimes.  I don't know what is causing it.  My belly some days looks like I am pregnant.  I hate it.
My other question is about irregular periods.  I have always been one to be a few days late.  Well this last 6 weeks I have had 3.  And the second one was awful.  I had no signs of it coming.  I actually gushed out and down my leg.  Very gross I know but kind of scary.  But it lasted less than 12 hours.  I know the hormone thing about all the hormones being released from fat but I have not really been losing any for a while now.  Why would this happen so far out from surgery.
Sorry to share so much just wondering if any others having issues.

Thanks

this probably does not have anything to do with surgery.

You should see your pcp  and  discuss this.  There are lots of things  that  go wrong with us as we get older   IBS   and  problems with our   monthly cycles.   Dont hold this off  go see your primary care doctor.

Are you eating gass causing foods? broccoli, cauliflower, legumes?

Micbrook is right, a call to your PCP or OB/Gyn is wise.

This has very much to do with your surgery. (sorry, beg to differ) My PCP ways it has alot to do with our malabsorning and  I have the same issues.  And it does have a lot to do with what you are eating.  I started getting gas about 1 year out.  Phazyme or Beano can help with it!!

It all can be surgery related, but then again it also can be other things - call you doctor to be on the safe side - please.

I'd call about the gas, just to be safe, but it's probably veggies or the malabsorption as others have said.

I've been having issues with periods too (I haven't had one since October) and my PCP told me not to worry about it.  The gushing stuff doesn't sound like fun though, so I'd probably call your PCP and see what they say about it!  Don't want to cause any other problems!

Let us know what they say!

I was not sure if we could take anything for the gas.  I used to have IBS symptoms but most of it was constipation.  something I always dealt with.  This is different.  I just can't figure out what I am eating that causes it.

I also suffer from the gas problem especially in the morning when I first wake up.  I am also having problems with periods, I had thermal ablation 3 years ago and had not had a period since, well guess what showed up 2 months ago, they are back and bad.  I went to my OB and she said that the weight loss has to do with the periods being back so you might want to check with your doctor to see what choices you have to regulate them.  Mine suggested a pill, IUD, and a few other options.
