GYM
I am faithfully back at the gym now. I have to be if I plan to be ready for the triathalon I am signed up for in August. I really can tell the difference in how I feel when I work out faithfully. I actually was able to run 16 out of the 20 mins I was on the treadmill today and that was after doing 25 mins on bike and 15 mins on elliptical.
I decided to do the 10 mile race that my coworker has been trying to talk me into. And my husband is going to do it too. So I signed us both up. I am so excited. I can't wait.
I made my son sign up at the gym too to go work out with me. It is so much nicer to not have to go alone. He is all done his hockey season and is getting ready to play lacrosse for the first time. He is a freshman. So I convinced him he needs to keep himself conditioned and not lose what he gained playing hockey.
We all went ice skating last sunday. Boy it has been a really long time since I was on skates. I want to get better at it. I got teased the whole time about how I was skating. My DH and son were trying to teach me. I would love to be able to play woman's hockey. I think it would be so fun. I am really so glad I had my RNY. I feel like I can no experience all the things I never could before. I was never involved in any sports. I feel like I missed out on so much because of my weight. But NO LONGER!!! I am really excited about all the opportunities that are now within my grasp. And the best thing about all of it is that I have finally made myself a priority. I have always done things for everyone else first. Now I am putting myself first.

Good for you!! There are so many benefits to being healthy and in shape. I cannot wait to get there. All the things that I took for granted until I could not do them anymore. Its been 17 years since I was last on ice skates. I definately want to get back to skating, both roller and ice. I have these dreams about running. I am running and running down this road in Falmouth that is notorious for a 10k .Don't recall the name but that's beside the point I guess. I get winded just walking short distances, I cannot imagine actually running. Perhaps my running dream is a vision of what is yet to come lol. I love hearing all the stories of liberation from obesity. Good luck to you in your training. Keep us posted of your prgress and experiences
Sounds like you are doing really well with this working out stuff! I had been doing really well, but have slacked off since work has gotten so busy! I NEED to get back to the gym!
I can't wait until the snowbanks are gone a bit and then I can do more jogging outside! I always feel like a lab rat when I'm jogging on the treadmill! haha!
Congrats to you! Keep it up! You'll be ready!!!!!
