Pre-op Diet Question

Well I have survived day three of the pre-op liquid diet.  It is not too bad actually.  I do have a question and will call the dietition on Monday.  Does anyone know if we can have any creamy soup as long as it is low fat/sugar?  I found a yummy potato/leek soup with no chunks as well as a squash/mango (haven't tried yet) and sweet potato.  They are all low fat and low sugar, and the consiteency of strained cream soup.  I also tried a creamy black bean tonight but not sure if I can really have it it is 1.5 grams fat, 2 grams sugar and 13 grams of protein.  I added a teaspoon of fat free sour cream and it was delish.  It was creamy and not chunky but did have some bean skins.  Any ideas if it is okay.  I don'**** to have it again if I am not allowed.  Also not sure of the sour cream.  Any input is appreciated.  11 days and counting.  Plus I was down 4.8 lbs this morning.

**Congratulations** on the weight loss...sounds like you're off to a great start
If I remember right...I think cream soups are allowed.  Did you check your WLS "bible"...(the red binder)  LOL
There was a list in there for what we could and could not have...I'd take a look but I've loaned my binder out to a friend who is (seriously) thinking about WLS.

But anyway...Good Luck to you with the liquid diet and also all the very best on the 12th !!

Take Care ~

They started the pre-op diet midstream of my process, so I don't have it in my binder but the post op say cream soups are ok - although post op diet has you strain them.
