I actually did it!!!!

I signed up yesterday to do a triathalon on August 2 in Bethel.  I am so excited!!!  I really have wanted to do this.  I may finish last but I am determined to finish this and be proud to say I am a triathelte!!!   It involves a 1K swim, 25K bike, and 5K run.   My coworker is trying to talk me into doing a 10 mile run in June near Mt Washington.  It really looks like fun just not so sure I would be ready for 10 miles by then.  I will have to see how I do with my training.  I plan to do some 5K's early this spring.

I wouldn't mind the running but hmmm bikes and I do not get along to well. Ha ha I still fall off them.

Wow, that's awesome. I've wondered if I'd be one of those people who would do this after they lost weight....nope, not me - I admire you for doing this.

Thanks everyone. I am really excited about it.  I have never been a runner or very athletic.  But I was also overweight.  I have just been working out at the gym and running little.  I love the sense of accomplishment of being able to run.  Of course I am just really starting to run. I did do some last fall then slacked off.  But I am back on track.  I go the the exercise board a lot and have really been in awe of what some of them have accomplished.  They have inspired me to join in. 

My boys play hockey.  I have even thought about joining in a woman's league.  Of course I need to learn to skate better first.  I really missed out on all the athletic sports when I was a kid.  Time to make up for lost time I guess. 

I plan to run some 5K's this spring. Anyone want to join me????
