First I would like to thank you all for all your well wishes, it means allot. It is so nice to have a place to ask silly questions and learn so much. I feel fortunate that I have such a great support system at home, but to have a place where I can talk to people who have been where I am, where I have been and where I'm going is the best so thank you all for just being here

Now a question, they told me not to bring to much to the hospital and I know I need to bring my c-pap machine. I do not want to bring more that I need any suggestions ??

I brought a suitcase full of things but didn't use half of it.  The things I used the most were my ipod, a couple of magazines, my robe, and chap stick!!  Wear comfy clothes there and wear comfy ones going home.  Oh yeah I brought a pillow from home too.

I travel light.....just my cellphone - didn't really need anything else, too sleepy to read or do much of anything other than watch tv or walk for the short time that I was there.

I brought way too much stuff with me!  A robe, some slip on type shoes for all the walking you'll be doing (I brought my crocs......they worked great!!), deodorant,  comfy/loose fitting clothes to go home in, cell phone, maybe an ipod.  I was kinda out of it from the anesthetic, so I wasn't even very interested in TV.  They'll give you most of what you need when you need it  ie: toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

I packed way too much and didn't open my suitcase. The hospital had everything I needed, slippers, robe, chapstick etc.

Surgery #2 I didn't have anything but the clothes on my back and my needlework project ( I work on it in the car). Again the hospital had everything I needed.

Deb, you don't need much!  You will be in there "maybe" 24 hours.  Just loose fitting clothes, chapstick and yourself!   Oh and that darn C-Pap! LOL
