I am awaiting insurance approval and its killing me!

I'm trying to be a Positive Patty.

The surgery (at this point) doesn't make me nervous. I am not worried at all about the pre-op diet. Its just this dang insurance.

I have been busy thank god or this would occupy my mind entirely all day.

Thanks guys I needed to get that out.

Hey! Good luck with the insurance piece.  How long before you know the verdict?   I'm sure everything will be fine.  Hey, do you know how long the surgery lasts?  I believe I recall you said your surgery was scheduled for 12 or 12:30.  Mine is for 10.  I wonder how many surgeries a day Dr. Cobean does.  I'll have to ask him about the surgery length when I see him Thursday for my endoscopy.  Good luck. Keep us posted

Being at the mercy of an insurance company stinks!  At least you have a date and are ready to go!  Waiting for the insurance is just another bit of red tape.  It'll be over with before you know it! How long ago was everything submitted?  I'd be calling every day!  haha!   Hang in there!

The insurance wait was the worst....but I knew within a week.....I know that sure seems like a long time, but it sneaks right up on you when you least expect it!!  Best of luck to you on your journey!!

The insurance approval wait was the worst for me too!

I logged on to my insurance, checked and e-mailed them after days which seemed like an eternity. . Little did I know that Anthem Blue Cross makes decisions within a week and I was approved. Just had to wait for the letter in the mail,

Good luck with your approval.

The whole process is a hurry up and wait process....but the insurance is the worst - it's the most critical......whew......I remember that wait well.

I have Dr Wolff and I know that they make sure you have everything you need done before they send in for approval. I have Aetna and I knew within a day or two, but I hounded them with questions before they even sent in for my approval. I know I drove them crazy with questions about my policy. I hope you hear reall soon and good luck.
Happy positive thoughts
