I have my 4 week check this afternoon, following my January sickness.

The good news is that yesterday I reached the weight I was on Jan 13!!! I was malnurished and dehydrated and very ill on Jan 13, today I am healthy and at this weight due to good nurishment and exercise.

I expect a good surgeon's check up with my lifting restrictions taken away.

I feel wonderful! I have only vomited once in the past month, due to eating too quickly and too much.
Yup- I still have to do the self talk- slow down, chew, chew,  put the fork down between bites.

I find that I have to do the self talk when I eat with other people, I'm fine on my own (living alone I eat to many meals alone) - but man, when I'm eating friends - I tend to follow their pace.

Glad to hear things are going much better for you!!!

I'm going to Frugal Suzy's in the am - have you ever shopped there?

Frugal Suzies is wonderful. I found some great pieces of clothing there. Could kick myself for leaving one on the rack. It's probably gone now.

If you come down to Thomaston there's another consignment shop- Smarty Pants. Right on Route 1. She's got 2 floors of clothing.

My visit was great. The nurse weighs me in, "you weigh the same as last time".  I reply " I worked hard to get down to that weight again."  I'm not sure if she knew what to make of that reply. After my release from the hospital I was up 8 pounds.

I told Dr. Toder I felt WONDERFUL and that I do believe that at 4 weeks out from RNY something wasn't right and the blockage was brewing. She agrees. How I feel is the proper way RNY folks feel.

Dr. Toder also commented that I've lost a ton of weight and look like a million dollars!!!! wow! Pretty nice comments. I'm still smiling.

Toder totally believes in what she does, which is what makes her so good.

I'll have to check out Smarty Pants sometime, sound interesting - probably won't make it there today though, I have a friend going with me so I have to work with her schedule....hmmm....maybe after the next support group.
