Hi, I am wondering if people had surgery at EMMC in bangor in the last 2 years if you could tell me who did your surgery and your experience with them and the whole hospital team (good or bad) And also if you would recommend them for someone else to have surgery.  Some of you already know my situation with them in the past, but I am now trying to lose weight on my own and may have to go back to them again in the future if I still want to have surgery. Can you confirm to me also what the highest BMI that is allowed by any one of the surgeons?  And add anything else that you may feel is helpful about your experiences.  Tank you.  Bobbi

I had surgery with Dr. Huang this past June.  I found my surgeon and the entire team to be very supportive and helpful.  I had gone through a different surgeon a few years back and there are soooo many differences.  I had a good feeling about this program beginning with my first phone call to the center.  I feel I can call the office to ask anything without feeling stupid or like I'm bothering someone.  If you have any specific questions please contact me.

As you can see they accept a BMI up to 65 however if you are over they will work with you.  And I fully believe they will.

I had my surgery july 20,07  I had dr.clough for my surgeon best thing i ever done for myself. 90lbs later and very happy with the weight i have lost. everything went very well at the hospital.I would recommend having surgery to anyone. at EMMC  its a great program.

I had Toder a year ago - absolutely top notch surgeon, would never hesitate to trust her surgical skills.

I didn't find the nutritional area to provide the kind of help that I personally wanted and the times that they schedule their support groups is impossible for the normal working person to attend which I find irksome - since support is such an important portion of this process.

All being said - I wouldn't hesitate to go through their program again to get the end result of the surgery I wanted and needed, I just make sure that I find other sources for the help that I need to work at being an ongoing success.
