Surgery
Hi I made it throught the surgery and everything went like clock work. I did have a lot of scar tisue which is not surpriseing with all the surgeries I have. But I do have a couple of questions I can have blened food and shakes but how do you cook the eggs to blend them? Also is it normal to lose 10lbs in 4 days I am not hungery at all and am having a hard time getting in all the flouids. any impot would help. I am down from 248 to 221.8
Thinking of you all and hang in there Cheryl.

It's normal for some people to lose that fast, not for others - we are all so different.
Hmmmm.....blended eggs.....never had to blend food - probably doesn't matter since it gets all chopped up and mixed in the blender - but if I had to do it I'd probably scramble it.
You're just starting after surgery -it takes time to be able to get in all you need, just do the best you can and try to do a little more each day.

I would stick with the protein drinks and wait a little on the blended foods personally. It is important to get your fluids in as well as your protein. Sip sip sip constantly all day long. Good Luck with this part of your journey. All surgeons and Nut.s are different as far as what you can have and how soon. I would however not mix foods until you discover if you can tolerate them. If you blend them together it will be harder to narrow down the problem foods.
Glad to hear you did well and are back home. I'd scramble the eggs and then blenderize them. Doesn't sound very appetizing, but it's food/protein, right?
Some of the weight you've lost may have been from all the IV fluids they put into you while you are in the hospital. I know I had gained 6-7 pounds while in for surgery and that weight came off pretty quick once I was home.
Just remember to keep sipping and walking! It's your new "mantra" now!
Keep us posted!!!!!
Congrats on being home!!!!!!!!
