For the past 1 1/2 weeks I have been "playing" with the same pound- up, down, up a little, down some. But always withing this 1 pound range.

Finally I have gone below and have had 2 days of weight loss below 210.9
Yesterday was 210.5, this morning is 209.7

I checked my portions- they were getting bigger, made sure to eat on the dessert plate and custard cup rather than the larger dishes and, AND made sure to get in all my liquids! I was slacking on the drinks. I also made sure to get my snacks in. I think my meal portions were getting bigger and I wasn't getting in my snacks. For me a snack is a yogurt, diet cocoa or glass of milk.

This was a good learning experience to re-assess and make positive changes.

I'm sure I'm still healing, which plays a part.

Yes Sam and I plan to go to 3 dog cafe for support group. See you there.

Oh Emily.....you are so right - it's so easy for those portion sizes to creep up again. I'm always having to watch myself on that - I wonder if it ever becomes normal, where we don't have to think about it - or is this normal?

Hey - I think I'll be coming today to the support group....guess if I am, I should be getting dressed soon, huh?

Congrats on your weight loss!  You are SOO right about needing to re-evaluate where we are at sometimes!   For me, it's really easy to slide back into those larger portions and grazing!
Thank you for sharing!

Congratulations Emily.

I encountered the same stall this past fall.  When I went to my 6 month nutrition appointment we discussed it and wouldn't you know it once I returned home I began loosing again.  Those nutrition appointments are always a boost for me.  It really helps to discuss what's going on in my weight loss and have someone help me with it.

How has Sam been doing since his surgery?

Sorry Mama. I'll send some un-stall wishes your way.

Sam is doing great. He had surgery on Dec 1. At his 6 week check up he had lost 23% of his excess weight. The average is 20%. He'd also lost mostly body fat, but DARNED he gained 3% lean mass. I told him he's an overachiever.
He's had smooth sailing- no problems, no vomiting. His only food issue is with eggs- they sit heavy in his pouch. Whole eggs seem worse than eggbeaters. The nut says it may be the fat in the yolk.
