I just met with Dayna (Nut) on Tuesday and when I got home last night I had a letter with my surgery consult date. March 26th I meet with Dr. Huang. That letter really made things seem very real now.

Woo Hoo! You are on your way.. How long do they say typically from the consult until surgery? And how come you don't have a consult with Toder? Wil Huang do the surgery?

I guess I need to update that. I decided that I wanted to have Huang do the surgery, mostly because I don't want to wait the extra 3 months or so for Toder and I have done my homework with Huang and he is an excellent surgeon as well.

it's really starting to move forward now. it's quite a ride so hang on. congrats and good luck. this is the best thing for you. you'll be surprised how fast the process goes. i'm a year out and think where did the time go?

You will be in good hands. All the NESurgical doctors are excellent.

Among other things I talked w/ Dr. Toder about was the prospect of another surgeon being hired in their practice. She's hoping the candidate accepts the job offer so that there are 4 of them offering WLS and her wait time isn't so long. She knows that patients don't like waiting and see her colleagues.
