Whats new and another question ?????

I went to my surgeon on Tuesday, to sign the consent for surgery which is on 02/25 and she was dissapointed that I had gained 3 lbs since I saw her 3 weeks ago. Well I am pms-ing it and I can sometimes gain up to 5 or 6 pound for a few days when I have pms once I start my period I go back down, any way she gave me a goal of losing 7 lbs in 10 days and if I don't she will cancel my surgery, I have actually lost 4.8 lbs since that weigh in, I started the pre-op diet  early and it seems to be working, I also picked up my walking to at least 45 mins a day. I really feel confident that I can do this, I have come to far.
My question is that when I woke up this am I weighed 307.6 and this afternoon it was 311.8. this is very common for me, does everyone else seem to fluctuate that much during the day. I go by my heaviest weight although I really like my morning weight.

Thanks for listening...

Typically, I have always weighed myself in the morning - although occasionally I would jump on later in the day - I would definatley flucate from the am weighing, it's normal for a body - alot of it is fluid retention.

I am always my lightest  in the morning. I try not to get on the scale in the afternoon cause it can be 3-5lbs more . Unfortunately for me all my NUT appt seems to be around 1. It is just after lunch and I feel way more fat and of course if I have to eat lunch cause then she will say something about skipping meals...sigh.....stupid scale...where is my magic thin wand??? :)

Oh yeah........I am always lightest in the morning, first thing!  I typically gain 4-5 pounds during the day between eating, drinking, fluid retention, etc!   I MUCH prefer my morning weight!

Keep on what you're doing.......it'll be fine!  Good luck!

I also weigh in morning, will gainned a few during the day so don't bother, I dont need the discouragment.  just stick to morning weigh in's, once a day is enough.  Something to look forward to and get out of bed for.  haha, that's a joke, wish my scale would move.  you'll do great, drink your water.

Hey Debbie!  Don't worry, you are bound to lose that in your pre-op diet.   I lost 12 lbs and I only did it 2 weeks prior.  Don't sweat it!

Oh yeah, I fluctuate morning and afternoon/evening.  Heck I lose at least .5 lbs after going potty and gain it back after my shower.  Yes, I need to throw out my scale, I think!?

Thanks you guys for all the help and support, it is a big help to me to be able to ask questions to people who have been there.

Debbie,
Of course some people fluctuate more than others and it is common. You should wieght yourself at the same time every morning after doing the same morning routine. Use this as your actual weight and stop weighing yourself throught the day you will make yorself nutz.

Good luck!
Be strong!
