overdue thanks

My family medical leave has come to an end.  My intestinal blockage surgery was Jan 13, I return to work on Monday- Feb 2.

I have been remiss in thanking all my buddies here for their thoughts, prayers, hospital e-mails and visits during my recent medical ordeal. I really appreciated all your kindness.

Patty- you can't begin to know how nice it was to have you visit me in the hospital.- two evenings! You are a gem!

I'm feeling well, perhaps the best I have felt since my rny. I think the blockage was a work in progress since 4 weeks out- the surgeon says yes. I'm proud to say that I haven't had any vomiting since Jan 13. I had bo idea that that wasn't normal. I'd always done that since being on soft foods- 2 weeks out.

Off to Portland-- have a good one today..

We're just glad that things are going better for you. Sometimes it's hard to know what is normal in this process, you really do have to listen to your own body - I did have the nausea/vomit thing going on for the first few months - but without any complications. My message here is for people reading - you are the best judge of something not being right and need to follow through with your doc like Emily did.

ETA: How could I forget? Patti is amazing - visiting you and you fart and she doesn't tell us!!!!
