we all have our favorite DIet recipe.  some of us make it 3 times a week.  Let us all share it here today.  Newbies, print these out, they will come in very handy.  for Banders, it is important to keep your meat juicy and wet, like with a gravy or sauce, but that can be high in fat too. so, beware!!  they sell a great fat free Heinz gravy (beef and turkey),  also, fat free sour cream can make a great sauce when used with chic bouillon or paprika. (for scallops)

CROCK POT CHICKEN

3 or 4 boneless chicken breast
1 can Reduced Fat Cream of chicken soup or 1 can reduced fat cheddar and broc. soup
1 can diced tomatoes
1 sm bag frozen broc
salt and pep

throw it all together in the crock pot on low in am and it'll be ready for supper.  (I  even throw in frozen chicken)

That sounds really good, I would be the only one that ate it here though so i would have to make less and still have left overs.  Do you leave the chicken whole or cut it up into chunks?

I leave it whole, but you can certainly cut it up, it is very forgiving.   Don't add the broc. if no one likes it.

That does sound good!!!!!!  Too bad no one here would eat it either!  SHEESHH!!!

Still my favorite:
4 oz of frozen scallops
1 cup of frozen broccoli stir fry veggies or whatever frozen veggies you like
2 tbsp of salsa (I use the fresh stuff!)

Use some Pam in the frying pan or wok, stir fry the  scallops and veggies then add the salsa last.  Makes a good amount for 1 person, cooks down quite a bit!

High protein(25g), low calorie(about 110-120 depending on what salsa you use)..........YUMMY!!!!!!

I'm not post-op but my favorite is breakfsat for dinner.  I just love to whip up an omelete with whatever is in the fridge.  It's so easy, and if you take out most (or all) of the yokes, it can be very good for you and high in protein.

Ahhh...brinner.  I love a good brinner meal also.

breakfast + dinner = brinner

As a child we always had cereal for breakfast.  We always ate lunches and dinners together but for breakfast we were on our own so french toast and pancakes were dinner food.

That sounds good!  Do you have a recipe for a good Pork Crock Pot recipe?  I have to make it on Sunday for the fam. I have a Pork Sirloin, not a lot of fat.

my favorite way to cook a pork roast in a crock pot is with http://www.drhot.net/ahsoribsauce.html I slather it on the roast w/ garlic powder.  But, that being said this Ah so sauce has sugar in it.  another way is Apple Jelly if you can find sugar free.  its good in oven too, makes a crispy top.  I put the sauce on 2 times. you can get it at Hannaford (the Red one)

Here's my contribution:

Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken

1 whole chicken
olive oil spray
Lawry's Seasoned Salt
Aluminum foil

Clean chicken; spray with olive oil. Sprinkle generously with Lawry's. Spray inside of crockpot with cooking spray.

Roll some wads of aluminum foil and put in bottom of crockpot. The chicken will sit on these. Put chicken backside down. Cook on high 4-6 hours.

So very easy and has been a hit with everyone.
