Snow Day

It looks like most schools are or will be cancelled today because of the upcoming snow storm...2ft?? Like we need more!! lol...Spring here we come (MAYBE??)  My son will be happy he doesn't have to go to school, that's becoming a touchy topic in my house lately. 

No school here today either!  Kids are excited.....I'm NOT!!!!!   I STILL have to go to work in this messy stuff!!!!!!!       COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's going to be the drive home that will be the worst...drive safely everyone.  As for me I will be home all day keeping warm and dry.  Well I might take the kiddos outside to play later when we actually start to get some snow.  I'm thinking we could have easily had a 1/2 day of school today....tomorrow morning it's suppose to be messy too until 7??  That's when my kiddo goes to school. 

I hate when they cancel everything before it even starts although I understand they worry about getting kids home safely...I went to Curves at 6am this morning and they were closed!! ARRGGHHH they follow the school calendar and I didn't check before I left the house, so my bad...I got home frustrated that I didn't get that DONE so walked/ran my hill for 40 minutes-I thought my face was going to fall off with the cold...I HATE WINTER!!! 3 more weeks and I will be in the Bahamas for a month!!! Yee hah!!!!
Be safe everyone, go home at noon if you can, this is going to be a fast and furious storm....if they won't let you go, walk out and go anyway...this one is not funny!!

well, no stress here,  I got up, DH made me some coffee, I sat and soaked my foot, MLM is sleeping in, and he can do some damage when he knows he can sleep in (haha) I usually go in around 8 to give him his meds, and he says, "NI- NIght" and rolls right over and will stay in room till noon. we can hear him singing or Meowing (something he does when he is feeling playful).  DH, had Post op dr's appt in Portland, DS, is working at 9:00 in portland, so I'm thinking of making a fire and will be on this thing all day.  I did get 10 more glasses yesterday to paint and have Eve's small desk to paint, and dishes from supper last night,  need to plan a supper, my one load of laundry, then should stay off my feet so I'll take it slow.  oh, yea, need to go upstairs and make my bed.

Dropped the H.S. & Jr. High kiddos off at 7:15...
The Elementary kiddos are 8:45...got home about 9:00
Phone rings at 10 to say "11:00...Early release"...
I'm thinkin'..."damn, I just dropped 'em off...now I gotta go back and pick 'em up..."

The roads were getting a bit "greasy" in places though...so I'm glad to be home now instead of 2 hours from now...

My kiddos were happy there was no school, DH also had no work.  I had to attend a seminar at the Career Center for unemployment, I guess it was good DH didn't work he was able to drive me.  The roads were nasty and to top it off there was a water main break on East Ave in Lewiston which we had to go around.
