This whole process has been a journey of it's own.. I have hurried around to get everything done and then you have to sit around and wait and wait for the next appointment. Hurry to get the next one set up and wait wait again. It was a year Jan 8th that my pcp refered me to Maine Medical Bariatric center  with all that hurrying and waiting it seems  hard to believe that I am actually approved and ready to go on the 25th of Feb.... Just around the corner, I have studied and read so much I felt I was so ready and yet now that I have a date I feel I must try to learn more, I am so excited and yet I feel a little aprehensive. I do not know if I am even making sense.
I have been lurking for so long now I really come to know you guys and you are the best bunch of people out there. You are always there for anyone and you really do care... I am happy to be able to reach out every now and again and there is always someone there to support you, you should all give yourselve's a big pat on the back you are all great, and Cheryl (mamag) once your dh goes back to work and you get your life back to normal it will happen, keep up the good work.
Thank you all for listening to my babble I do have a real question, after surgery I know I will have to take chewable vitimans, but you are on a liquid diet.....

Thank you Debbie, your a sweetheart.  and i'm so excited you are almost there.  you will be apprehensive, it is normal.  I was so totally cool, like no big deal, and one night, when DS and his GF was cooking us all supper, I flipped out.  out of no where  they were all looking at me like they were going to have to call an ambulance, I excused myself from the table and walked around the house for a few mins. and was totally fine.  not another issue.  you will be fine and skinny before you know it.  we're here for you.  have a great weeend.  hugs, Cheryl

Sounds like you are perfectly normal - what roller coaster ride it is!!! Wait until after surgery - the time just whizzes by!

I think that they don't consider the vitamins as food - since they are so small.

THese feelings are perfectly normal. I totally understand the hurry, wait, hurry wait game. It was exactly 1 year from my 1st informational meeting at EMMC to Surgery.

You can take pills and chewable vitamins right after surgery. They disolve or are chewed and pass to your intestines.

Welcome to our little family here. So glad you are here. I felt the same way. Once i was cleared for surgery It was just 6 or 7 days til my date. Talk about panic. Soooooo worth every bit of the prep work. I can't believe it has been over a year since my surgery date. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Someone can answer I am sure.
