Sorry its taken me so long to post.  I have been sick as you all know and then all three of my children ended up with bad colds, first one then the next two got it.  And guess what?  I know have a cold too and keep losing my voice off and on, so trying to not use it.  I had my 6 month appointment early so that Dr. Clough could go over my test results, they found a hernia.  Finally! They find something and its not in my head, like they make me feel.  The bad part of this all is I can't have it repaired because I am on coumadin (blood thinner) from when I had the blood clot on my lung.  Which by the way I heard there is scarring from that, but will find out this Friday when I got to Penobscot Respiratory and see Dr. Rajan.  So Dr. Clough prescribed me a binder that you wear around your stomach to push the hernia back in, and its really uncomfortable when you sit.  Its fine when I stand, but as soon as I sit, it rolls and sticks in me.  Anyway he might operate around a years time which would be July.  He didn't want to take me of the coumadin yet because I have only been on it for 4 months and well of course they dont like to operate with someone on it, because of the bleeding.  Anyway I am off to take care of the sick ones and myself, sorry it took me so long to post and thanks to all the inquired about me.  Take care...Hugs...Angela

Wow Angela,  I know this has been a rough journey for you.  I have 2 friends who had RNY and both had surgery less then a year out for hernias.  I know that is common so I would say what you are going thru is nothing to worry about except for the fact that its a pain in the A@#JSS.  having to take more time off, rest, not feel good.  between everyones sugars, hernia's, Ulcers, overfills.  I guess that is just the price we have to pay to be slim.  Gotta wonder sometimes, tho don't you???  Hope you feel better soon, we've all been worried about you.  take care of yourself and make sure you take your Vit C  and vitamins.

Hugs, Cheryl

I'm glad you have an answer, but sorry that you can't have surgical intervention now. I hope the binder gives you some relief until that time.

Being persistant and knowing your body paid off.
