I've been on here off and on saying how I don't think that I dump and how I was kinda sad that I didn't because I thought I NEEDED dumping to keep me in line!  WELL...guess what????   I'm just waking up from a morning long "dumping" episode......or at least that's what I THINK it was!

I ate some carb control granola this morning with a little bit of milk (I've eaten this SAME thing before without ANY issues!)  This morning, after about 30 minutes, I got shaky, cold, tried to, uhem, get it to come up or down, (didn't work) and I ended up in bed with 5 layers of blankets and my heated mattress pad on HIGH, just to stay warm!  After sleeping off and on for about 2.5 hours, I feel "fine" now!  (I never vomited or had bowel issues, I just felt REALLY bad for a while!)    Amazing how something can taste and sit so well in your pouch one day and the next day make you feel like you are in a "night of the walking zombie" movie!  YIKES!!!!!

Guess we never know when something will not "sit right" in that pouchy!   Needless to say, the granola was thrown outside for the birdies!  I hope they like it more than my pouch did!

Don't you just LOVE this whole learning process??????

well, I guess your RNY is doing what you want it to do.  I dont know weather to say I'm happy for you or sorry you were sick?  after reading your other responce and this one too, and so many responces from other from the band site and RNY forum it is so truely amazing this journey we are in.  I dont' think that 2 people on here think alike.  "wow" what a journey.  it kinda is scary knowing you can have it one time and not the other.  I just ate a whole pork chop when last night I could only eat 1/2? HMM?? maybe my pouch grew last night.

Yep that sounds like dumping to me.  I've done it a couple of times.  I need to go to bed because I will get the chills...feels like stomach flu symptoms.  Mine was eating light progresso soup.  I didn't eat the pasta and only a 1/4 of a cup; early out.  The other time was the EAS rtd carb control chocolate protein shake...yuck. I won't ever eat it again that's for sure.

Wow   that is what i did when i  tried drinking a pina colada in April lol  I havent had that again either.

But  yesterday afternoon   about  three  hours after lunch on  an  empty stomach  I had a bad case of  gas.   Ok so i take a gas x  strip  works a few minutes  then it comes back with a vengeance
i proceed to take another gas x strip  that  one didnt work  so i  still have  prevacid solu tabs that are good till august.  I  took one of those and the pain went away.   I have no idea why   or  how or what caused it.  But it sure can stay away.   Thought i was having a heart attack only  when i checked my pulse and blood pressure it was  fine.   If it happens again   soon i will let the doctor know.

I now have   7 inches of snow!!!!

Have a great  day

Me too!  In fact, it is happening right now.  I am getting these low blood sugar episodes.  So what did I do? I ate a reese's heart (valentine's candy) It helped momentarily with the low blood sugar, so here I go with my version of dumping... really weak, cold sweats and strong urge to lay down and feeling like I want to throw up. I am going to go sleep it off.

I was never a milk drinker...but after surgery I couldn't seem to get enough...
until about a month ago...whenever I drink milk now your description above is exactly what I go through...and it's scary as hell !!  The first time it happened I didn't know what was going on...but then the 2nd time it was exactly the same thing...so now I pass on the milk and stick with my flavored waters..."better safe than sorry".

We're closing in on the 6" mark for the snow and it's sill coming down at a pretty good clip...  I am soooo ready for SPRING !!!

WOW, Milk!?  I am glad it doesn't bother me either. Although, I don't have it often due to sinus issues. I've got enough phlegm going on!   But Big Reese cups with 32 grams of sugar bother me!  Phew, I am better now!
