When DH asked Dr. Toder how common my problem, intussusception blockage was;  she told him it's rare, perhaps 1 in 1 million.

So I got googling my problem. Here's a medical paper. It seems that they can now positively state this HAS happen post laprascopic RNY now,  ME !!!
Intussusception is a telescoping of the intestine on itself, causing a partial to full blockage.

"Intussusception in adults is rare and accounts for 1–5%of all SBOs [point [ 12–15]. Jejunojejunal intussusception after gastric bypass is rare, with only 9 cases (in 8 patients) reported. All cases occurred

1 year after RYGB and after significant weight loss. Both antegrade and retrograde variants have been described. No cases have occurred after laparoscopic RYGB. The etiology remains unclear, and no standard of care for the diagnosis and management of intussusception after RYGB have been established. We present 1 case of retrograde jejunojejunal intussusception occurring 4 years after RYGB, with a review of the literature of this potentially fatal complication."

Hmmm. I could be the topic of a medical paper.
Oh well. I'm glad for my knowledgeable surgeon, wishful that other medical providers would get up to speed on RNY patient care and get their heads out of the sand.  More on that later.......

So glad you are on the mend!!!  Imagine all the people out there who are uneducated about their surgery, or worse, their Surgeon isn't educated!!!
