I know many of you won't agree with me, but this is what I have come to a conclusion about exercise.  Today, as I went into town I thought I would go for a mall walk, as I used to do almost daily, (only for 20 or 30 mins a day) when I went into town everyday.  I stopped bringing MLM to work, and certainly wasn't going to spend gas on driving 25 miles just to walk.  I could do it here, but did I? NOOOO  a few weeks ago I decided on upping my exercise to 1000 mins a month.  have I been doing it NOOOOO, I feel guilty, I keep saying ok, tomorrow I will do more, yea, right.  so here it is.  I'm thinking when I did 20 mins a day, "I DID IT"... 6-7 days a week.  now, i'm trying to do 60 mins a day, and dont' do it.  so, I THINK, MY 20 MINS A DAY, 6 DAYS A WEEK, IS BETTER THEN MY 60 MINS A WEEK.  What do you think, about my conclusion?  Screw the 60 mins.  I"m going for 20-30 mins.  i'm adding back my Mall walk on Tues and Wed. (when I bring MLM to work). to make a change, and see all my old buddies (and I do mean old).  so there, i've said it, and I forget it!! just like an informercial...  Love you guys, thanks for listening to my blubbering.  Your great.

You got it!!  I truly believe in starting with smaller goals, same with weight loss.  Go a little at a time. Try not to go with the big picture!!  It can be too overwelming, can't it?

you've got to walk before you can run. start slow and build up. you'll get there. I'm only at 350 minutes for the month so I know what you're talking about. Slow and steady wins the race.

I agree with you. I have only been doing 20 minutes a day. But heck, that's 20 minutes more than I used to do!!!  Keep up the good work!

Cheryl I'm right there with you, I keep saying I'll do it tomorrow and then tomorrow never comes.  I have been laid off from work and am having so much trouble getting off the couch or out of my recliner, its sooooo cold and I just want to snuggle with my blankey and jammies.  I would probably lose much more weight if I could motivate myself.
Looks like we share the same boat.

Little steps!  Like everyone else has said.......start small, find something you enjoy, and then build up from there!  ANY movement is better than none!!!!

I have a really hard time getting myself motivated to GET to the gym or DO something but I've found that once I'm there, I might as well keep going!  Hope you can get to that point too!

If I wasn't working so flippin much, I'd go walk with you!  I'm bored at the gym!  I wanna find a kickboxing class and let out some of my frustration!  haha!

Candace, I am hard on my self Verbally, but dont' help me do anything physically.  I guess that comes from years of being compared to my perfect sister.  (from Mom) now at 50 and 55 me and my sister have a relationship, I love her and value her support and good times. we have alot of time to make up for.  Her DH and My DH get along wonderfully and we are making plans for doing tons of stuff together.  we are going to visit Maine this summer, Ocean walks, visit light houses, lobster boat rides.  Brewry visits (opps, did I say that?)... if you know of any great way to spend a day (not too expensive) I would love information.  thanks for your honesty.  Hugs, Cheryl
