Acute surgery Mainegal

Emily had surgery for a blockage at EMMC and is in room 307B, and doing fine DH.

Hi     I  just  talked with  Emily  and  she is doing  great.  Will advance to liquids today.

The connection  where  we were put together  from the  pouch to the  intestine  was  a little twisted and almost blocked.   If she ate first nothing went thru  but if she just  drank liquids that did go thru.
The intestine was still healthy  and was  unhooked and reattached.  They think when  she had the problems  about  4 weeks out that  that might of also been the problem.

She  has lost  21 pounds since just before  christmas and said that this is not the way to lose it.
But she is on the mend.  I will go up to see her  after work tonite.   Have a great  day all!!!!

I'm so happy they found what was going on with her. Poor thing, there are so many things that can possibly go wrong, that is  probably what took so long to figure it out.  NOw I hope she is home free and won't have any more issues. 

Thank you, Emily's DH for keeping us up to date!!  We are so relieved that she is ok and that she had to knowledge to not let things go and get it checked out!!

Yeah!  Finally an answer. More surgery isn't what Emily wanted I'm sure. But just to know that there WAS a problem and a fix is very reassuring.

I'm SOOOO glad to hear she is doing well and they FINALLY have an answer!  Please give her my best!!!!!!!!!

Now.....if we could get answers for Angela, I'd be even happier!!!!!!!
