Just wanted to apologize to everyone for being MIA the past few days.  It's been REALLY crazy around here! I've been working extra to make up for DH's cut back in hours and trying to keep up with kids homework, working out, housework, laundry....oh my......the list never ends!!!

I've also had a few issues crop up but nothing major....still haven't started my TOM...going on 3 months now when I used to be "like clockwork".  Kinda got me worried BUT...NO!!  I am NOT preggo!    I also have been dealing with low blood sugars again!  I woke up with my blood sugar in the 40's last night and YES...I HAD eaten a snack before bed.  It's just too weird.  It'll pass again, I'm sure!

Seems like I'm always getting on here and apologizing........Sorry!  I've been reading some, just haven't had much time to respond.  Hope everyone is feeling better and getting "issues" resolved!  I'll try to be around more but I'm sure I won't be able to catch up with responding to most of your posts!

Know that I am thinking of you all and grateful for ALL of your support!  I've missed you ALL!
Hugs!
Ruth

yes, Ruth you have been missed, but you dont need to appologize.  Geee life goes on and our family should always come first.  I wish you the best  and hope all these problems stop for you soon.  I dont think anything is wrong as far as your periods it is very common for Athletes or people who have gone thru drastic change to ski*****t even have their periods.  Overweight, underweight (FOR YOU NOW) is drastic, thus causing this.  lot of my son's friends in college swimming, during their hard months wouldn't have them.  as for low sugar.  I'm no dr. and dont' know what is done with that, but that is also common with RNY.  I def would talk to Dr. L.  or PCP weather more carbs, less, more calories?? I have no clue.  wishing you the best, but I'd get on top of the low sugar if you can. Melting mama also has problems with this, you should ask her about it.  she is very open and helpful.  nice seeing you, let us know what happends.  Love and Hugs, Cheryl

Ruth, not to add more stress, but if Dr or emergency room knows your having sugar problems, fainting, they sometimes will report to DMV.  I know driving is your job.    Anyone know anything about this? Wish I could help you feel better.

Ruthie!  WE have missed you!!   I agree with Cheryl, could the skipped period be because you are malnourished or underweight?    How many calories a day are you getting now?

I can sure relate to the low blood sugars. Some days I need 3 glucose tablets( not all at once). Low BS are very scary  and can be dangerous so try to keep some glucose tabs hand.

Thank to ALL of you!   I am doing pretty good now!  No more really low blood sugars like the other night.......that was scary!   I am eating 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and averaging about 800-900 cals/day, 80-90g of protein/day.  I've been increasing my carbs a bit too.   The weird part is that the night I had that low blood sugar, I HAD eaten a snack and I had eaten well all day!  So, I guess I just don't "get" it!  I'm checking my sugar 3-4x/day and so far, so good, since then.

It'll get back to "normal"!  I'll just keep working on it!
Thanks for everything!!!!!!!

Gosh Ruth - it's ok, no need to apologize. It's hard to be online everyday - for me working full time - can't imagine adding taking care of a family as well.

I'm sorry you are going through this with the health issues. I keep reading about Melting Mama on the Main Board with what she goes through with the blood sugars, along with some others. Keep on top of this - have you talked to your doc about it?

I talked to my PCP about it and she suggested I just keep checking my blood sugars, keep eating frequent small meals and snacks and keep her posted.  I should call her with an update soon, but up until this week....I hadn't had issues in a couple of months (with the blood sugars).  Guess I'll see what happens!
Thanks!
