Cleaning out

Among the things I did while lounging the weekend was to clean out the side by side refrigerator freezer.

My ice maker has issues, backs up, frozen chunks and rivers of water in places it shouldn't be, It was time to fix that mess.

I turned it off, emptied the contents and went about defrosting the "frost free" freezer. How can this be? Meat from 2005? Old freezer burned something that wan't wrapped properly? 5 containers of years old mashed bananas?

So the ice maker is working better, the freezer is washed out, the bins washed, food sorted and stored by category. I might be able to find something in there.

Now to tackle the upright freezer

OMG, I can soooo relate.  NEW side by side, is a peice of ****  Ice maker, chunks get stuck and make this annoying , tick tick tick, omg. drives us nuts, no water back up tho, we fixed that, our hose was crimped.  I can't stack food in a orderly manner, I open the door and everything falls out.  grrrr, I must of said "I hate this Freezer" 7 times just yesterday, you must of heard me.  I will NEVER get a side by side again.  I actually said this morning, when I get back from MLM's meeting at 10;00 i'm going to try and organized this thing.  lol

when we moved here   19 years ago we bought a side by side   that was the last one we bought
for all the same reasons  and then when it was 11 years old the compressor went  so was cheaper to buy a new frig  instead of fixing that one.

Oh I hate mine too. But I like the ice maker. Now you can get the one with the freezer on the bottom and the ice maker still in the door.... how does the ice get there????  

cleaning = lounging around.......doesn't sound right.....lounging is not cleaning....cleaning is not lounging!!!!!
