my heart hurts

just got back from my INLAW post xmas party.  it would take me weeks to tell you all the issues this family has, but my DH so wants to have his family close, and I am at witts end with the jealousy, back stabbing and just hurtful **** anyway.  I just want to scream.  I'm going to bed, cuddle and cry.  these people have more money then all of us, but hate everyone. oiyyyy, i'm tired, and if any of them would have said I looked good I think it would might have killed them.  (BTW, they all know I"ve had wls) OH, by the way, haha, they have all gainned some weight, "LIKE 15 lbs at the least from last xmas"  I'm still walking with my head high,  I'm such a ***** and I am lookin good.  can't wait for summer, move ova, i'll show you what SEXY looks like...

Hi Cheryl, they are all just jealous don't let it bother you.....if they know it bothers you they will keep it up!!  Just hold your head high, and just like you said summer is coming....at some point...I sure hate snow!!!!

it is jealous, it is so obvious, I can't wait to be a size 12 and really flaunt it.

Cheryl I'm sorry you had such a trying visit with the in-laws. There's nothing you can do to change them, but you can make changes yourself. Don't buy into the bickering and hatefulness. Kill them with kindness. It will shock their socks off and they won't know what to do.

First, congratulations on 109 lbs. lost, wow, that is terrific.  great job.

Second, I've been killiing them with kindness for 30 years, the older sister and I were best friends, as a matter of fact that is how i met my DH. anyway, little sister was jealous cause she wanted to be her best friends so somehow, i've been pushed out of the picture.  get this, last night as we sat their talking she was texting to the older sister, (lives in florida), they kept texting all night.  if it wasnt' for my DH, I wouldnt' be there.

I feel for you.  I have family on my father's side of the family who are bitter gossipers....they create so much drama, I can't stand it.

you know I really don't care, i've got TONs of friends I don't need to be their friends, I think, its wonderful after all these years they are finally friends.  but, to see them, gossiping in the corner, texting and actually telling me "CHeryl, You go hangout with the guys, us sisters want to hang together"  is just Rude.  I never did that to the younger sister when me and older sister were friends.  I always included her.  but, little sister is so jealous of everyone, i know she is behind it all.  last summer, older sister and I went out for lunch one afternoon, and sister who was invited but had to work, kept texting her while we were at the restaraunt.  I was very upset and actually said "I think this texting is very Rude".  it took me all I had to bite my tongue and move on.  Anyway, i'm over it.  its over for this time and probably won't be 6 months before I have to see them again.  so i'm off to have a great afternoon with my kids and DH.  thanks for being here when I needed you.  Ya'll have a great day.

Cheryl I'm so sorry you're having this much drama.  In-laws (and our own families) can really stink sometimes.  Just be thankful you don't have to see them everyday.  Like everyone else said, they're just jealous.  Also remember, living well is the best revenge.

Sorry you had such a bad time...but as others said "they're not worth losing sleep over"...
It took me 3 marriages to get a mother-in-law and all I can say is "Thank God there's an ocean between us" !!  That woman has her picture in the dictionary under the letter "B"...if ya know what I mean ?!?!
Anyway...just be happy (as I'm sure you are) that you don't have to see them again anytime soon !!
