Me and my stomach...

I am waiting to have an ultrasound on gall bladder Friday and then see Dr. Clough next week.  I can't see why he wont just tell me my results on the phone.  They said I had to come in, in case its my gall bladder, that way we can do my preop that day.  Well I have that done Friday and dont see him til Wednesday, so why not just tell me to come up if the results show it needs to come out.  Driving an hour away to hear its not that just doesn't seem right lol.  I just dont think its my gall bladder.  My pain isn't just in my right side under ribs, its a full, pressure feeling everytime I eat in my whole stomach. I dont have indigestion or heart burn.  I dont know I guess things affect people differently and it couuld be, but we will know soon enough.  I can't wait to find out something, I just hope I am  not one of those where they test this and that and find nothing til the very last thing.  I have put up with this for about 3 months now, thinking it was just part of the surgery and or an infection in my stomach.  So I probably seem impatient to Dr. Clough's office, but I have been dealing with this for awhile.  Anyway enough rambling on!  Take care all...Angela

It very well may be the gallbladder. They want you to come in so they can charge your insurance. They don't make money on phone calls. They may be our doctors but they are also a business. I really hope they figure it out soon. You've gone too long with this discomfort. I hope you're feeling better soon. Sending you positive vibes for quick healing!

Ditto to what Lisa said. They can't charge your insurance unless you're actually there in the flesh and blood. That stinks though! I hope you figure out what's going on soon, I've been reading up on what's going on with you and I'm SO sorry! I hope you figure it out and get back to feeling well soon!

I had my  gall bladder out  7 years ago and it felt like i was having a heart attack

bad pressure  and not on  one side or other.

If the pain  gets  worse or  lasts  longer than  1 hour i would go to er  and   let them deal with it.  But that is me   they  can  give you  pain meds   stay away from anything that is hard to digest

milk,   fats,  pop corn,  greasy food.   i know it  is hard  and it hurts like hell  so like i said if pain gets worse  or lasts a real long time i would go to   er.

take care sorry you feeling   so bad

Thank goodness I already had my gall bladder out. Hope you get your answers very soon. My gall bladder attacks were horrid It would have my whole back from my tail bone all the way to my teeth feeling like they were being cut open then squished in a vice grip. I was in agony After those the surgery was a piece of cake. Gall attacks effect everyone differently. I thought I had some kind of arthritis in my back. You should be able to get the results of the test without going all the way up there. Did they forward the results to your PCP? If so call your PCP for the results. I know when Dr. L orders tests they are always forwarded to my PCP. Worth a try I would say.  Good Luck and hang in there
