I am having surgery Feb.4 if the insurance goes for it I am worried that they might not go for it I have done all the things that they wanted but you never know and they have given me an appointment for my blood work and that stuff would they do that if the insurance wasn't going to go good for it

any help setting my mind at ease would really help right now

Most surgeons don't schedule surgery until they have an approval from the insurance company.

Have they submitted all the paperwork to the insurance company? You can always call to confirm an approval.

The waiting for the insurance approval can seem like forever.

If it has been a week or so since your surgeon placed the request with your insurance company phone the company and find out if they have a decision yet.  I was so anxious I found out I was approved 1 week before the approval letter reached my mailbox.

I agree with the others that most surgeons won't schedule surgery unless they are pretty sure it is or will be approved!  I'd call your insurance and double check!

Good luck and keep us posted!

ditto to the others. call the insurance company and ask where it is in the approval process. i know my doctor didn't schedule the actual date until the approval was on their desk. so far what you have said sounds positive for a go.
