ok, guys, I just got back from Dr. L.  well, weight in...I lost "ONE" lb.  (in 4 weeks) I don't think Dr. L understood why I was happy.  he looked concerned this time.  and I was like, hey man, I was up 4 after xmas and i'm down one, I"M HAPPY.  but anyway.  he gave me a fill.  .5, so now, he gives me a cup of water, and it slowely "Gurgles" its way down.  Its never done that, so i'm thinking, i really am going to feel this one.  DH very concerned and as I had said he didn't want me to go for another fill, both for the deductable and cause he is happy with my restriction and weight loss.  "Slow and easy" is the way he wants it.  He wants me to hang with our friends, and be able to have fun and eat what everyone else is eating.  If I'm being 90% compliant, and 10% enjoying life, then that is what should happen, as far as he is concerned.  I told dr. I ate sweets and chips at xmas and he pretty much told me "those people who do that are NOT successful".  I feel, different, I guess my brain isnt' where its suppose to be.  cause I feel if i'm down a size and down 35 lbs. "I"M SUCCESSFULL"????  I know i've got further to go, but with the band it could take 3 years to reach goal.  so, moving on... OMG #2  I have to be on liquids for tonight, and I thought I'd make myself a protein shake, (I"VE not made one since my WLS)  I would put a scoop of protein with water in glass, that was the extent of my shakes (EWWW by the way, would explain why I am only on my 2nd tub of protein).  so I put a scoop of van. protein, 1 banana, 2 T of PB2, and 1 c milk.  OMG OMG OMG.  did I say, OMG? Now i'm affraid i'm going to do this everyday. lol  ok, well, sorry for all my blabbing.  I"M HAPPY, EVEN WITH JUST ONE LB. loss.  thanks guys for not giving up on me and keeping me around..

If YOU are happy........that's all that matters!  You have to measure your success by how you feel and how you want to live your life, not but everyone else's standards!  You are heading in the right direction....doing it the way you want and need to do it.........ISN'T that SUCCESS??

I'm proud of you!
Hugs!

Quite frankly - I don't think anyone is 100% compliant all the time - regardless of what kind of surgery and whatever you do - it has to work with your personal life in order for you to be a success. So yes by my scale you are a success - anyway I look at it.
