Hi all, my household has that stomach flu, and after dealing with DH for 4 days now, I just had a bout of-well, diahhrea-sorry!!) Can we take Immodium for symptoms? I can't let this run it's course cause I leave for Baltimore on Tuesday am and want to niop this in the bud, but didn't dare to take anything without checkingwith you guys... I will call surgeons office if I have to but in the meantime don't want to get dehydrated...help...

Hi Kate,
Sorry everyone is so sick. I've used the walmart generic brand of Immodium and it worked for me. I never thought to ask my surgeon if it was okay. Can you call now and speak to who ever is on call for Dr Loggins office?

Kate are you throwing up too? If you are they can call in an anti nausea med for you. I use Phenigan (sp).

Yes I have bought the Wal-Mart version of Immodium too! Yes we are allowed to use it. I called with this question way way back just after surgery and its an ok thing. I know you already took it but thought I would let you know its fine for further use. Take care and get better soon...Angela

All my book says that we can not have is nsaids and that doesnt come under that.

I have taken immodium before and also gas x

I hope you're feeling better. This stomach bug is the pits. I have had it since last weekend and am finally feeling a bit better.
I did have to go to the hospital on New Years day to be hydrated.
