Angela, I think this is what you were asking for from our program notebook

Expected Weight Loss after Gastric Bypass Surgery

All percentages are a rough estimate. Your actual weight loss will be affected by many factors, including diet and exercise

Hope this helps.

Emily, thank you very much for sending me that...I guess I am behind I have lost a total of 88 lbs since before surgery, and since surgery its 64 lbs.  Anyway I guess I am not right on target, BUT as you say there are things that deter this also.  Like me being sick with a blood clot, pneumonia, then a sinus infection, and I think I have either bronchitis/pneumonia right now.  So this makes it hard to eat right.  Anyway I am going on and on and on...I guess I will find out at my appointment the end of January.  When I went to the nutrition class at the end of October I was just shy of what I should be by like 2 percent which I didn't think was too bad...I guess I should be happy with the weight loss and just try to make it  better because I will be through my "honeymoon" phase soon.  I know that I really need to crack down and do more exercise but its hard on walking unless I go to a store or something.  I would love to get a wii, you all make it sound so fun, but can't afford one right now, especially in the winter months.  Anyway thank you so much for the information, and I wish everyone a Happy, Healthy New Year!  Hugs and Honks...Angela

Angela-

You're welcome.
You are 5 months out now, and by the chart for 6 months, anything from 35-90, pound loss is the average expected loss,  depending on what  your starting weight was. Starting weight is the surgery date weight.

So guess what??..... you're right where you belong. Actually you're ahead of it because these are 6 month averages.
