Not Sure

Not sure what is going on but after I eat I keep getting this horrible pain on the left side of my chect. It hurst when i breath. Well take a deep breath. My pouch doesnt want to hold much of anything for food or drinks. I'm wondering if something is wrong. i don't know if i should get looked at.

If you have any doubts - absolutely call your surgeon. When is your 2 week checkup?

JenniferC was also talking about some pains she was having this week - perhaps she might have some suggestions.

 I am having similar pains...mine is in the sternum area and over to the left...I called my doc and she put me on prevacid...a little improvement but it tstill hurts like hell like all the time.Also when I burp it goes like down and not up casues a sharp pain and i hate it.....Im going to call on monday if it is not better...You might want to call though sooner...I know the nurse asked me 2x if the pain i felt was my actual lung or not...not sure where she was going with that...

Its not a burning pain its more of a stabbing pain after i eat. This happens mainly at night. Ii'm trying to eat three meals a day, but i'm thinking of just making a 4 oz drink for dinner.

Could still be some trapped gas or starting of an ulcer.....who knows??  I'd call the doc if it doesn't go away....

I know lots of people complain about that left side pain and reason being is that they use the biggest tools on the left side. But do have it checked out to be sure. I had pains like that on my right side after my gall bladder was taken out. It was like a hitch I had to grab my side every time I took a breath. Hope you get some relief soon.

I think i figured out what it was. i ate too much one day. I'm finding that i cant eat three solid meals adays. I can eat a solid breakfast and lunch, but i have to have a liquid dinner. if not i can't get everything i need. I'm supposed to have 2oz of meat and i can't do it. i'm lucky if i can get 1 oz
