We're driving up to Princeton (Calais area) on New Year's Eve day...spending the night at my son's and "hangin' out" with Miss Brooklyn, my (2 year old) granddaughter.  Her mum & dad are going out with friends and granny & papa get to babysit

I hope you all have a Happy & Safe New Year's Eve...
and all the very best to you in *2009*!!

Not sure either....my sister invited us up to Jackman and my 13 year old neice would babysit, but it's suppose to be a little snowy out on Wednesday and I wouldn't be able to leave to drive up there until 1:30 and I'm not much into drinking anyway, especially since surgery.  We may just stay in rent movies and order out.  With my DH away, I don't do a lot, which is sad I know!  The boys will enjoy a movie night with Mom.

we dont usually do anything, but I guess we've been invited to a party.  I can't drink or have any fun, I have to drive, DH can't drive yet.  they all play poker and I dont' so it will actually be pretty boring for me.  that's ok, i've started a challenge with some other banders anyway, so i should be more accountable.  actually, havn't gone out for like 3 days, and that was to the dump.  I need to go to store for some milk at some point today and it is killing me.  But, I really need to work on going out, exercising and right now taking the decorations down.  I really need some new jeans, might even hit some store at some point this week.  might just make it a whole new outfit.  Happy New Years to all of you also.

We have an AWESOME NYE tradition in our family!  My brother comes over with his sons and my sister comes over with her son and the KIDS PARTY!  They play games all evening (as do the adults), I have all kinds of food and soda (we NEVER have soda...so this is a huge treat in our house!) and I buy them some sparkling apple cider to toast with at midnight, complete with the plastic champagne flutes!  I get them the party hats, leighs, horns...the works!  We watch the TV for the countodown at midnight and then we all head to bed by around 1-2 in the morning!  The kids look forward to this all year!  (The adults kinda like it too....my brother and sister can have a few drinks and since DH and I don't drink, they know the kids are safe and the car keys are all locked up!)

Big fun!!!!!

Hope you all have a great 2009!!!!!!!
