Hey all.  Just wanted to stop in and say hi!  I had my gastric bypass this past monday and was able to be home on christmas eve...things are going ok...I am experiencing pretty bad pain in my sternum and towards the left of my belly  when drinking, eating, coughing, breathing...pretty much when i do anything....I called Toder and she has put me on some prevacid.she thought it might be some acid irratation...has anyone else had these problems??
Thanks !
Jen Ps...you all look amazing!

Congratulations on your surgery. Welcome to the loosers bench!.
Sorry about the pain, hope the prevacid helps. I can't say I've had that.

Dehydration, yes,  I can tell you about that.

Welcome Back, Jen... congrats on your surgery. Your surgery date on your profile says Oct 9th, was it postponed from that date?  I had a lot of pain under my breast, which I deduced as just muscle pain from the incisions.  As far as acid irritation, my surgeon automatically put us on an acid reducer (can't remember name but wasn't prevacid) for 30 days.  Best of luck to you!!

glad to see you back on, I am sure this will all work out, it could be just gas too.  some takes longer. and gas can build up in the weirdest places.  give it a few weeks.  You will feel fine before you know it, and be flying thru the process.  Hugs, cheryl

Congrats and welcome back.

Honestly I have read about people describe pains like you have on the boards, but don't recall much about what was said - I'm sure that if you put this out on the rny or main board there would be people who have input.
