Snow much??? kinda long rant and rave!
Hi everyone!
Just wondering how everyone is making out in the snow!?!?! Hope no one has anywhere special to go today! Isn't the snow beautiful though???
I just came in from shoveling the driveway..........DS asked me what I was doing (told him I was picking my nose in the cold....sarcastic much?) then told him I was shoveling "just for the exercise of it". It actually felt GOOD to shovel the whole yard and not get out of breath and kinda feel good about doing it! It's amazing how much difference a year can make in how we feel and act! Last year, I dreaded going out and doing this kind of stuff! Oh well, now, my biggest issue is staying warm while I am out there! I had on: 2 pairs of socks, boots, underarmour pants, fleece pants, ski pants, tank top, tshirt, sweatshirt, windbreaker jacket, lined jacket, pair of gloves, pair of mittens, and a hat! Pretty much, just my hands and toes got cold, oh yeah..and my face too!
It was fun though! Glad I can do this!!!
This weekend has been fun! Kids and I did a bunch of baking yesterday: sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and peanut butter cookies. Today, we made puppy chow and I made some SF oatmeal PB cookies and some SF PB cookies for myself. (BTW...I WAS "bad" and had some chocolate chip and PB cookies...yup...real ones! AND...I had some puppy chow too!!!!! I didn't feel real good for a while afterwards, but I've survived and now the craving is gone cause I didn't feel so good afterwards!!!!!!!) On a good note though......I DID go to the gym this morning (before the snow started) and got a good workout done!!
So........what have YOU done all weekend????
Hope you have had some fun!!!!!!!!
Be careful out there in the snow!!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!

hey, been cooking and cleaning and cleaning and cooking, taking care of the guys, and eating, been bad too, real bad. myds and his girlfriend have been shoveling and I feel so guilty about not going out to help, but i'm just beat. I guess I can say i've been doing it for years and not one ever felt guilty for me then. so, I sit here infront of fire and am thinking of eating some more. oiyyyy.
I went to my Inlaws to do Christmas with them around 11 or so and didn't leave until 1:45. They live in Strong...the roads in Farmington were horrible but once I got to the Jay line they improved greatly. My parents were away for the weekend and drove home from NH this morning. Well apparently she called to check up on me and I wasn't home. She called my Inlaws and talked with my MIL for a bit to see if I was there, then my MIL says "Is my crazy daughter there?" lol. I'm 35 years old and I got my hand spanked by my mother...lol
My boys and I will probably be baking tomorrow since we will be buried in...gotta love Maine and the snow! Need to make sf sugar cookies for Santa

Well....I can't agree that's it's beautiful - I hate the stuff...but if we've gotta have snow, this so far is light and fluffy making it easier to shovel.
I will absolutely agree how great (not fun though) it is to be able to just go out there and do it without a lot of pain, exhaustion and getting out of breath.
Last night a friend and I went to Bangor in the cold....TJMaxx was screaming my name to come visit - who am I to refuse. We went out to dinner at Dysart's where his partner works and had a blast shopping. This morning I got up and went Xmas shopping here in Belfast to finish up.
Cooked a couple of casseroles to freeze for easy meals to reheat, laundry, painting, shoveling, cleaning.....all the "fun" stuff.
