Yes  Sarah  you will be tired.  But  do not stay in bed.    Get up  go  to chair  and cat nap there if you need to  but  do not stay in bed.    Try to sip sip sip     food is  not as important as  water or other fluids  are.

You have done wonderful  so  far.   You  need to rest  some people rest more than others.  And you have  children too.

So find  a good book  or  knitting or something you can do   sitting down to keep your mind busy.  puzzles   something  and  relax  and rest.  Take care

Congratulations on almost reaching you goal.

The first 1 1/2 weeks I took 2 naps a day. I would loose energy and fade mid morning and mid afternoon. You had major surgery. It takes time to heal.
Things will get better- promise.

In the beginning you will feel warn out and tired. Surgery and anthestic are a shock to your body. It needs to heal. It is hard to get all the fluids in get as much as you can. My doctor allowed SF popsicles and 2 of them counted as 1 fliud and boy did that help me. It also learning in the beginning what you can eat, how fast to eat, and its all new.
BUT you do FEEL BETTER as time goes on and it does get better on what you can eat and how much.
It is really worth the discomfort in the start.....
Pretty soon you will be writing about all the WOW moments you are having !!!!!

I'm also finding that the gas is getting worse. I'm afraid to go anywhere. unless i know the exact place of the rest rooms. I want to try the GasX. I'm out of sfpops i will have to get some or have someone pick some up for me. I'm finding that anythhing with flavor tastes sweet. lol. I'm just getting hte strength to walk around and make my kids dinner and then it goes out the window and I'm ready for bed. I'm going to get my children ready for bed and then put ina movie or we will sleep out here in the livingroom for awhile and watch movies on movie on demand.

As everyone else has said, this IS major surgery and your body is recovering from the anesthetic too!  Take it slow, sip, nap, walk, repeat as needed.  It DOES get easier.  Make sure you are trying to get as much of your protein in as possible and keep pushing the fluids.  Start with small walks in the house and gradually build yourself up.  It DOES take time!  You are still very early out!

The gas will eventually go away......that takes time too!  The more you are able to be upright, walking, the better it will get.    I know I never trusted gas to be JUST gas.......I was like you and wanted to be close to a bathroom.  It DOES get better!

Take your time and allow your body to heal!  It'll be worth it in the end..  (no pun intended!)

Keep us posted on how you are feeling!
Hugs!

I"m just worried that I'm taking too much me time. I don't want to seem greedy and thats what some people make me feel like. No one here, but some family saying "I hope you don't lose your job" its hard enough worring about my kids insurance and rent and car payment and insurance without haveing to deal with that. I need to stop stressing i'm sure thats part of my issue. I'm sorry if i bother everyone with this. I just needed a shoulder to cry on and an that would listen. I'm so tired and just sick of no support from people who said they would be there for me and my kids.

Oh lordy, this is normal. I didn't go back to work for 6 weeks - and for the first 2-3 I was totally exhausted - I can't imagine having gone back to work as early as you did.

This new life does take work - it all doesn't happen instantly when you've had surgery. You just do your best each day, and each day do a little more.

i felt exhausted for a couple of months. i could easily take a nap in the middle of the day. some days i put my head on my desk for a 5 minute cat nap. what you are experiencing is very normal and because of the lack of calories you will feel tired too. it will all get better as you get further out. i'm 10 months out today and down 75 pounds (stuck since august) and feel incredible! you will too. be patient with your body. don't rush the healing process.
