Hello, my old buddies,

first thanks for all your wonderful thoughts and prayers.  MY dh is doing great.  Way too spoiled and will be driving me nuts in about 24 hours, but, doing great.  We are back home finally, made him toasted BLT's for lunch, unpacked, made a nice fire, load of wash, moved furniture around for his convenience.  and YUP!  i'm having a drink !! yes you heard it right.  I'm being a very bad person, and will probably gain 2 lbs.  but I deserve it.  I"ve gotten stuck on everything i've tried for 2 days, and have probalby had 400 calories in 2 days.  so screw the calories on my drink.

surgery went well, dr. said it was the worst hip he has ever operated on, and that the surgery kicked his ass, he was beat, instead of a 45 mins surgery it was almost 3 hours.  but he is doing great, walking, and pooping, and just happy as a lark (last hip surgery he didnt' poop for 5 days, haha, what a depressed person he was) haha.  he was all proud to poop today. he does have more pain then the average hip replacement, he actually presribed stronger meds for him.  but he still is great.

so nice to be back home.  he is getting steak for salad for supper, and I just hope I can eat too. I actually had like 10 saltines today, I was so starving, I was desperate.  it went down great and was so salty, yummy.  I'm glad I dont' buy those.  but didn't have much choice at hospital.  I hate popsicles and tried to stay away from the icecream so crackers it was.  well, again, thanks,  enjoy the wonderful snow.

OH, does anyone you know do catering?? good price, good food,?

hugs, cheryl

Glad to hear you are both home and doing well!  It'll be an adjustment for DH, but he'll heal quickly and be feeling better in no time!

Glad you are feeling some restriction as I know you said you felt like you had none after this last fill.  Sorry it is making you slime and making it hard to eat, but I KNOW you'll figure it out, just like you've been doing!  When you're away from home, it's REALLY hard to find the foods you should be eating......just do what you can!  It'll be easier now that you're home!

Glad you are home!  Keep us posted!
Hugs!

Bet you're all glad to be home, glad all went well.

Catering - is this for a new job for you - or your daughter's wedding?

ETA: Did you add protein powder to that drink? If you did then it's a meal!!!
