HELLO....
I was starving too when I tried to do it before my surgery. I ended up having one meal a day usuappy for dinner and made sure I ate low fat, low cal and only what I needed not to feel hungry... example lean cuisine. I also would have low fat yogurts for snacks. I went to the gym as much as I could those last two weeks and lost 7 lbs those two weeks. I really had wanted to lose 10. It's important to do your best because it will make it easier for the doc to do his/her work. It is worth giving the most you can right now. I truly believe that because I worked out three times a week and started practicing healthier eating habits months before my surgery helped in my recovery. I was ready to go back to work within six days...unfortunately my work didn't take me bac****il my doc signed off on it which was after my second week. Take it one day at a time. I KNOW you can do it! Good Luck to you!

Jessica...just tell yourself that this is the hardest part...and "things" will get easier from here...and just keep the end results in the back of your mind.
For me the 2nd week was much easier...but you can do this...
believe me, I know it's hell and damn hard...but also remember that the weight you lose before surgery makes the surgery that much easier for your surgeon and for you as well. My surgeon says it's to shrink the liver which he has to (literally) move during the procedure.
I was a type II diabetic and diabetic's tend to have fatty livers...Dr. Clough said everything looked really good once he got in there...
Keep all that stuff in mind...and I know you can do this...and remember, we're all here anytime you need to "vent" or whatever is needed...we're all here for ya !!
Take Care and all the best to you !!
