I had my RNY on 11/20/08. In the first two weeks I lost 11 lbs. Yesterday made three weeks and I weight my self last night to find that I didn't lose anymore. I was supposed to start my workout's this week but I ended up with a really bad head cold so I never made it to the gym. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm off liquids? Just wondering if anyone else experience this.  Thanks! Belinda

I can't help on the RNY/stall front. Only to say, I have heard of so many having stalls at different points.  I am sure ONe week of stall is nothing to worry about,  I"ve been on a stall for 6 months.  (I had the band)  your day will come, your are still healing and when you change from one stage to the other with foods it can made a difference.  Mushies and soft foods sometimes have more calories also.  relax, heal and welcome to the board. I'm sure you will get lots of help here from RNY'ers.  Good LUck, Cheryl

Hi

Stalls are pretty normal  in the beginning.  Your body has gone thru  great changes in such a few week.   You are doing great   tho.   Just remember to  chew and  drink plenty.   Your  body  needs that fluid  right now more than food.  But it sounds like you are doing   all the right things.

Take care and have a great weekend.

Keep working the program. Someone on these boards said when the scales stall that's when your body changes size. I bet your clothes are getting looser?
This isn't an exact science, but in the end we all loose the weight. Hang in there.

Welcome to the wonderful world of stalls!  Yup, they happen and Yup, they'll eventually stop too!  Just keep working the program and you'll keep losing.  It DOES work!  Get your fluids and protein and the scale will keep moving!  Hang in there!

Thanks everyone. I feel better now that I know this is just part of the journey. Can't wait to start working out. Doc put me on antiboitics today so hopefully Monday I'll be feeling much better and can start my excercise routine again.

I know Im not the best one to be giving you this advise lol. STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALE. I personally weigh at least once a day. Some people get bummed out if they see no losses. I was ok with it. If it bothers you though just stay away from the scale for a couple weeks.
