so i've been experimenting with Dry Beans.  I made a soup Thurs. and had some more left over, soaking in water, and wanted to see what else I could come up with.  I kinda used Eggface's recipe but added a few things, like honey mustard, italian dressing, cut up string cheese, peppers, onion, celery, cucumber, shred. cheddar cheese, black olives.  I"m not fussy as you can see, but this was sooooo freakin good.   I also saved a small bowl and added just Brimmels and Brown (yogurt butter) and salt and pepper, OMG, i'm going to be farting till Christmas..

Opps Edit:  I boiled the beans in water with salt and garlic powder and onion powder before

Sounds yummy!     I'm lazy when it comes to cooking though and it sounds like a little pre-planning is needed for this one!  I'm a last minute kinda cook, myself!  (Just call me lazy!!!)haha
Thanks for the wonderful ideas!!!!

DOn't forget that is all I have time to do is pre-plan.  People make fun of me all the time, it is actually pretty sad, I make my own laundry soad (Thanks Patty, everyone loves it, and is so cheap)  I was spending over $10.00 a week on laundry soap and fabric softner.  now I propbably spend $3.00. I make my own oatmeal hand/bar soap.  Still working on finding a good recipe for protein/oatmeal/nut bars.  I won't spend $2.00 for an oatmeal bar.  Make my DH's Salsa, he is so spoiled dont' like the bottled stuff anymore.  But, I have to say I love it.  Just call me Martha !!! hehe  I just figured out, that if we start usuing our shower towels 2 times before throwing in laundry, I will save on 95 load of wash a year. think of the soad, water and time I will save.  I need to buy one of those over the door hook things so we can each have our own hooks.

Deb, Patty gave me the original recipe and idea, I looked it up, and read up on it, and it actually cost less then .2 cents a load to make.  I was spending like $15 a week for detergent and FAbric softner, so I tried it.  YOu can make liquid version but it is a pain to make this one is so easy I now make it for my DD and neighbor and they love it.  here is How I make it.

1 bar  Shredded (i put in my food processor, make sue it is very fine so it desolves in wash) of Fels Naphta soap http://www.soapsgonebuy.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=D 1001&Show=ExtInfo

1 cup washing soda (arm and Hammer) NOT Baking soda (you can buy it where the laundry det is

1 cup Borax

Mix together and use one tablespoon (1 1/2 if dirty, this is what I use)

It works so well and your not getting a box 1/2 full of filler, and much better for your septic

THANK YOU PATTI
