OT: How to cook a Turkey!!
Here is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a
stuffing ... imagine that. When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.
Give this a try.
15 pound turkey
1-cup melted butter
4-cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is best)
2-cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT)
Lightly salt and pepper to taste
Preheat o ven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, then salt and pepper. Fill the cavity with the stuffing and popcorn.
Place in baking pan with the neck end towards the back of the oven.
Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's butt blows the oven door open and the turkey flies across the room, it's done.
And you thought I couldn't cook!!!!
hahaha! Have a great day all!!!!!!

As I was reading I was thinking...genius. Mine is either totally pink and I end up throwing it in the microwave because guests have been waiting 30 minutes extra already (I know, gross)....or it is so dry you need a cup of gravy to get it down. I thought....when you hear popping the internal temperature muct mean it is done. I was actually a little disappointed it was a joke lol.
