New Knee brace- WOW

Since I'm going to the "y" and exercising my knee has been sore. I thought I'd put on my lovely knee brace- a metal, velcro contraption with pads on the side.   IT DOESN"T FIT.
My knee is swimming around, getting no support from this thing.
I have phoned the orthopedic surgeon to give my a prescription for a new one. Custom made- I think I'll choose pink sparkles this time for the metal part, my old one was purple with black straps.

That's pretty cool!   I agree with getting an even "cooler" color!  Kudos to you!!!!

Just something to  think about.

I had very large thighs, knees and calves, so WL is affecting those areas.

Yup this knee brace is expensive, but it is an insurance covered item. My 1st one in 2007 was around $800., I paid my deductible of $200. I have met my deductible for 2008 so it will be 100% insurance paid.

I'll ask the fitter about smaller sizes for the future. Worst case scenario my insurance will get to buy another as my weight drops. I have OCD and this brace unloads the weight off the damaged knee knuckle. It's either this or knee replacement.
