Social worker appt next Tuesday...help

What should I expect?? I have my social worker appt next Tuesday.  I am going to Laura Olken.  I hope it is okay to put her name (if not I will edit this post).

Also how long after the eval do you get an appointment with the dietitian?? (I am going to Maine Med).

I think everything is moving along great but I really will be happy to have this appt. over with. 

just relax and be honest. basically what mine was looking for was that if i really knew what i was getting myself into and if i had a grasp on reality. she asked questions like what day is it? what year is it? then she asked me to remember three things and later asked me to repeat them. you'll do great.

if i recall i saw my dietician before my psych appointment. every doctor does things a bit different.

They are checking to make sure you  know what you should know about the surgery you have chosen,    and  are checking for hidden  depression  untreated of course and  bulimea  excuse spelling    and  anerxioa  (spelling on that is wrong too ))  

So you will do  fine.   We have lots of room on the  losers  bench and it will be here when you get there.

Are you sure it is Laura Olken? I didn't think she worked there any longer? Unless she went back?? 

I am going to her private office.  She is on the sheet of people I can use :) I spoke to her today.  Thanks for all the advice!

Oh ok!  I had to go to an outside social worker myself.  They wanted me to go for 3 months. I still go today.  she is really cool. Her name is Carol Crosby and she is in Gorham, ME.

Basically, they just ask you all sorts of questions re: childhood, family life etc.   I had Laura Hauser and she was super nice.  I am sure everything will be fine.

I went to Laura Olken, and we basically just talked about why I wanted the surgery and what I had tried for weight loss in the past.  I think they are just looking to see if you have any hang ups around food that will stop you from succeeding.  I got an appointment with the dietician really quick, but I had to wait quite a while to get in to see the surgeon.  I go next Monday!
