Endoscopy
Hi all,
A little update for you. According to my scale I'm down 75 pounds and am in a size 12. I am totally psyched.
At the beginning of last week I started getting a horrible pain in my pouch. I let it ride a couple of days thinking I had a bug and it would pass. Well it didn't. I went to Dr. L's and Mike concluded I might have the starts of an ulcer. A weird coincidence since I had stopped my Previcid on the Friday before. Anyway, he put me on some meds before each meal and at bedtime. Two pills later and the pain is gone. I have an appointment Tuesday at 11:30 am for an endoscopy to rule out or confirm the ulcer. No big deal but I need a drive to come home.
Has anyone here had one and why can't I drive after?

I had an endoscopy 4 weeks after surgery because I had a stricture.
They give you an IV with something to make you kinda out of it, but not fully asleep. I was awake and trying to talk with that thing down my throat. lol Dr Cobean said after if he knew I was that awake he would of given me more stuff. It doesn't hurt, you just will want to nap for the rest of the day until it wears off. You'll be good to go the next day. I was in the pureed stage and he told me only liquids for 24 hours, not sure what they will tell you because you've been out of surgery longer. I hope they find out whats causing the pain and can help you.
Will be thinking of you Tuesday,
